New features
- More features on the Free plan — Free projects now include BYOK (your own Resend, OAuth, and AI keys), bring-your-own storage (S3 / R2), custom HTML email templates, and Analytics Pro. See Limits & Quotas. (by @yash-pouranik in #409)
- Webhooks on the Free plan — Free projects can now create up to 3 webhooks, with automatic delivery retries. Pro stays unlimited. See Webhooks and Webhook limits. (by @yash-pouranik in #409)
- Broadcasts on the Free plan — Marketing broadcasts now only require a configured BYOK Resend key. A Pro plan is no longer needed. See Mail Platform. (by @yash-pouranik in #409)
Improvements
- Higher Free mail quota — The Free plan now includes 50 emails per month, up from 25. Broadcast sends now count toward the same monthly quota as transactional mail. Failed broadcast sends don’t use up quota. See Mail limits. (by @yash-pouranik in #409)
- Clearer

Bug fixes
- Webhook limit enforced reliably — Creating several webhooks at once can no longer exceed your plan’s limit. At the limit, creation returns
403withWebhook limit reached. Editing, deleting, and testing existing webhooks still work. (by @yash-pouranik in #409) - Self-hosted Docker Compose starts cleanly — The bundled MongoDB now runs as a replica set. The APIs wait until the database is ready before starting. (by @yash-pouranik in #409)
New features

/features,/use-cases,/developers, and/mongodbpages so you can explore what urBackend does before signing up. (by @yash-pouranik in #408) - Comparison pages — New side-by-side comparison pages at
/compare/firebaseand/compare/supabase, plus a/compareindex, help you see how urBackend stacks up against other BaaS providers. (by @yash-pouranik in #408) - Blog — A new
/blogsection launches with three posts: Getting started with urBackend in 5 minutes, MongoDB BaaS vs traditional backend, and Why we built urBackend. (by @yash-pouranik in #408) - Public changelog page — A
/changelogpage on the marketing site surfaces recent product updates in a timeline view, alongside the full changelog here in the docs. (by @yash-pouranik in #408)
Improvements

- Refreshed navbar and footer — The site navigation has been rebuilt with dropdown menus grouping product, developer, and company links; the footer has been reorganized to match. (by @yash-pouranik in #408)
- Updated pricing page — The
/pricingpage has been reworked with clearer plan comparisons. (by @yash-pouranik in #408)

(by @yash-pouranik in94c78f4) - urBackend favicon on the marketing site — The browser tab favicon on the marketing site is now the urBackend logo instead of the default Astro icon. (by @yash-pouranik in
96e96a3) - Accessibility and date fixes on landing pages — Addressed review feedback covering landing-page accessibility, date formatting, and other polish items. (by @yash-pouranik in
c342601)
New features
replyToon transactional mail —POST /mail/sendandPOST /mail/send/batchnow accept an optionalreplyTofield (a single address or an array of addresses). When set, replies from recipients route to those addresses instead of your verifiedfromsender. Available in the REST API, TypeScript SDK (mail.send()/mail.sendBatch()), and Python SDK. See Send mail and Mail SDK. (by @yash-pouranik in #402)
Bug fixes
- Empty mail bodies are now rejected up-front — Mail requests without any content (both
htmlandtextempty or whitespace) now fail validation with a400before hitting the mail queue, instead of enqueuing an empty message. Whitespace-only subjects are also rejected. See Send mail. (by @yash-pouranik in #402)
