  ## New features

  * **More features on the Free plan** — Free projects now include BYOK (your own Resend, OAuth, and AI keys), bring-your-own storage (S3 / R2), custom HTML email templates, and Analytics Pro. See [Limits & Quotas](/limits-and-quotas). (by [@yash-pouranik](https://github.com/yash-pouranik) in [#409](https://github.com/geturbackend/urbackend/pull/409))
  * **Webhooks on the Free plan** — Free projects can now create up to 3 webhooks, with automatic delivery retries. Pro stays unlimited. See [Webhooks](/guides/webhooks) and [Webhook limits](/limits-and-quotas#webhook-limits). (by [@yash-pouranik](https://github.com/yash-pouranik) in [#409](https://github.com/geturbackend/urbackend/pull/409))
  * **Broadcasts on the Free plan** — Marketing broadcasts now only require a configured BYOK Resend key. A Pro plan is no longer needed. See [Mail Platform](/guides/mail-platform). (by [@yash-pouranik](https://github.com/yash-pouranik) in [#409](https://github.com/geturbackend/urbackend/pull/409))

  ## Improvements

  * **Higher Free mail quota** — The Free plan now includes 50 emails per month, up from 25. Broadcast sends now count toward the same monthly quota as transactional mail. Failed broadcast sends don't use up quota. See [Mail limits](/limits-and-quotas#mail-limits). (by [@yash-pouranik](https://github.com/yash-pouranik) in [#409](https://github.com/geturbackend/urbackend/pull/409))
  * **Clearer `ub status` output** — The CLI now shows your webhook count against your plan limit. Unlimited resources display as `Unlimited`. See [CLI overview](/cli/overview). (by [@yash-pouranik](https://github.com/yash-pouranik) in [#409](https://github.com/geturbackend/urbackend/pull/409))
  * **Updated pricing and upgrade screens** — The pricing page and the dashboard upgrade modal now reflect the new Free and Pro plans. (by [@yash-pouranik](https://github.com/yash-pouranik) in [#409](https://github.com/geturbackend/urbackend/pull/409))
  * **New `urbackend.in` domains** — The public API now lives at `https://api.urbackend.in` and the dashboard at `https://app.urbackend.in`. The previous `bitbros.in` hosts stop working after 30 October 2026. Please update your apps before then. See [API overview](/api-reference/overview). (by [@mintlify](https://github.com/apps/mintlify) in [#412](https://github.com/geturbackend/urbackend/pull/412))

  ## Bug fixes

  * **Webhook limit enforced reliably** — Creating several webhooks at once can no longer exceed your plan's limit. At the limit, creation returns `403` with `Webhook limit reached`. Editing, deleting, and testing existing webhooks still work. (by [@yash-pouranik](https://github.com/yash-pouranik) in [#409](https://github.com/geturbackend/urbackend/pull/409))
  * **Self-hosted Docker Compose starts cleanly** — The bundled MongoDB now runs as a replica set. The APIs wait until the database is ready before starting. (by [@yash-pouranik](https://github.com/yash-pouranik) in [#409](https://github.com/geturbackend/urbackend/pull/409))

  ## New features

  * **Expanded marketing site** — The urBackend site now includes dedicated `/features`, `/use-cases`, `/developers`, and `/mongodb` pages so you can explore what urBackend does before signing up. (by [@yash-pouranik](https://github.com/yash-pouranik) in [#408](https://github.com/geturbackend/urbackend/pull/408))
  * **Comparison pages** — New side-by-side comparison pages at `/compare/firebase` and `/compare/supabase`, plus a `/compare` index, help you see how urBackend stacks up against other BaaS providers. (by [@yash-pouranik](https://github.com/yash-pouranik) in [#408](https://github.com/geturbackend/urbackend/pull/408))
  * **Blog** — A new `/blog` section launches with three posts: *Getting started with urBackend in 5 minutes*, *MongoDB BaaS vs traditional backend*, and *Why we built urBackend*. (by [@yash-pouranik](https://github.com/yash-pouranik) in [#408](https://github.com/geturbackend/urbackend/pull/408))
  * **Public changelog page** — A `/changelog` page on the marketing site surfaces recent product updates in a timeline view, alongside the full changelog here in the docs. (by [@yash-pouranik](https://github.com/yash-pouranik) in [#408](https://github.com/geturbackend/urbackend/pull/408))

  ## Improvements

  * **SEO metadata and trust badges** — Marketing pages now ship with full SEO metadata (Open Graph, Twitter cards, canonical URLs) and a trust-badges strip on the homepage highlighting the technologies urBackend is built on. (by [@yash-pouranik](https://github.com/yash-pouranik) in [#408](https://github.com/geturbackend/urbackend/pull/408))
  * **Refreshed navbar and footer** — The site navigation has been rebuilt with dropdown menus grouping product, developer, and company links; the footer has been reorganized to match. (by [@yash-pouranik](https://github.com/yash-pouranik) in [#408](https://github.com/geturbackend/urbackend/pull/408))
  * **Updated pricing page** — The `/pricing` page has been reworked with clearer plan comparisons. (by [@yash-pouranik](https://github.com/yash-pouranik) in [#408](https://github.com/geturbackend/urbackend/pull/408))

  ## Bug fixes

  * **Sitemap points to the right file** — Requests to `/sitemap.xml` now redirect straight to `/sitemap-0.xml`, which contains the full list of marketing pages, so search engines can index every page. (by [@yash-pouranik](https://github.com/yash-pouranik) in [`94c78f4`](https://github.com/geturbackend/urbackend/commit/94c78f4))
  * **urBackend favicon on the marketing site** — The browser tab favicon on the marketing site is now the urBackend logo instead of the default Astro icon. (by [@yash-pouranik](https://github.com/yash-pouranik) in [`96e96a3`](https://github.com/geturbackend/urbackend/commit/96e96a3))
  * **Accessibility and date fixes on landing pages** — Addressed review feedback covering landing-page accessibility, date formatting, and other polish items. (by [@yash-pouranik](https://github.com/yash-pouranik) in [`c342601`](https://github.com/geturbackend/urbackend/commit/c342601))
</Update>

  ## New features

  * **`replyTo` on transactional mail** — `POST /mail/send` and `POST /mail/send/batch` now accept an optional `replyTo` field (a single address or an array of addresses). When set, replies from recipients route to those addresses instead of your verified `from` sender. Available in the REST API, TypeScript SDK (`mail.send()` / `mail.sendBatch()`), and Python SDK. See [Send mail](/api-reference/mail/send) and [Mail SDK](/sdk/mail). (by [@yash-pouranik](https://github.com/yash-pouranik) in [#402](https://github.com/geturbackend/urbackend/pull/402))

  ## Bug fixes

  * **Empty mail bodies are now rejected up-front** — Mail requests without any content (both `html` and `text` empty or whitespace) now fail validation with a `400` before hitting the mail queue, instead of enqueuing an empty message. Whitespace-only subjects are also rejected. See [Send mail](/api-reference/mail/send). (by [@yash-pouranik](https://github.com/yash-pouranik) in [#402](https://github.com/geturbackend/urbackend/pull/402))
